William Willigerod, Registered Architect
As owner of William Willigerod, P.C., Bill Willigerod has overall management and design responsibility of the firm’s projects. With over 47 years of experience in architecture, his design projects include a complete scope of residential, educational, commercial, medical, and religious buildings as well as retail facility design projects. Bill works directly and personally with each client to provide comprehensive services, including preparation of design documents,
cost estimates, project development, and construction documents to insure their timely completion. After attending the School of Architecture at Pennsylvania State University, Bill apprenticed as a Project Manager for a 20 person architectural firm located in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. He has eight years of experience managing his own general construction company and is familiar with all aspects of the construction industry. In 1983 Bill formed the Partnership of Willigerod & MacAvoy Architects P.C., http://willigerodandmacavoy.com/ located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and was managing partner of this seven person architectural firm for 17 years prior to moving to the U.S. Virgin Islands in 2000. Bill is currently a Registered Architect in the U.S. Virgin Islands and previously Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of Maryland. He is a former member of the American Institute of Architects, the International Facility Management Association, the Construction Specifications Institute, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Harrisburg, and the Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce. He has held positions as Chairman of the Hampden Township Planning Commission and Director of the Board of the Pennsylvania Builders Association. He served on the Board of Directors of the St John Rotary Club as Chairperson for the Vocational Service Committee and Vice President. He is a past Director of the Virgin Islands Resource Center for the Disabled and St John Rescue, Inc. In 2004 he co-founded the “Island Green Building Association,” a group dedicated to preserving the environment in the US Virgin Islands. For more than 40 years Bill Willigerod has developed a reputation for creative, quality architecture that incorporates environmental stewardship. His clients are the reason he is in business and he strives to provide them with quality architectural services on a consistent basis. Many Clients have become friends as Bill sees them through to making their visions a reality.
